Wind Energy

A Wind-Wind Solution!
W
ind has been used for human activities for thousands of years, for example to crush grains (milling) or to pump water.

Today's wind turbines are marvels of complicated engineering, that are on average more than 80m tall, and can generate almost 3 megawatts of electricity.

Wind capacity Wind energy has the potential to meet the world's total energy demand many times over, with strong wind currents available both onshore and offshore. Currently, the global installed wind capacity exceeds 900 GW, contributing about 7% of global electricity. The United States, China, and Germany are among the top producers of wind energy.

W

ind energy captures the kinetic energy of moving air to generate electricity, providing a clean and renewable power source. With both onshore and offshore wind farms growing in scale and efficiency, wind power is becoming a major contributor to global energy systems, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing energy security.
