"Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean" - This well known proverb extols the need for small, individual steps taken systematically, that lead on to achieving a broader, much larger goal.
But the proverb is also very relevant when we look at water itself. From the individual drops of water that fall from a tap, all the way to the 'mighty' ocean - the entire continuum should be targeted for water planning and management.
An integrative approach that looks at the causes and effects/impacts, cyclical in many cases, is very important for effective long-term water conservation.
