 any researchers and authors of informal sector sector assert that the informal economic sector is transitionary - a 'temporary' stage as an economy matures and becomes more developed. What do we do? The informal sector definately has its benefits in being informal, which will be destroyed when it is formalized.
But it works under distinct disadvantages too, which can be overcome through prudent and focussed policies. What then is the nature of policies that we need to direct at the informal sector? |
